BH Legion Baseball was created in 2000 as a way to keep young athletes in the Region 10 School district together for the summer seasons. We adhere to American Legion standards and our goal is to strengthen the bond between teammates.

Everyone,

Due to the lower attendance than expected, it is no longer financially responsible for us to continue the Winter Workouts. Effective this week, it has been canceled. We hope everyone is prepping for the LSM season in some way, and we look forward to seeing you all in February.

Good luck in this new semester!

This is going to be amped-up from last winter.  The people listed above are going to be there at the front to ensure you get the most out of each night and workout safely.  This is not only an excellent opportunity to better prepare our athletes for the LSM and BH seasons, but it’s also an excellent opportunity to see what college level baseball is like and what coaches and professionals will expect after high school.  As always, this program is open to ANYONE, not just current BH Legion athletes.  Refer anyone with questions to us.

2011 BH Seasons Conclude.

2011 BH BASEBALL SEASONS CONCLUDE

Thanks to everyone who came out last night, and we hope you had a good time.  We regret that a Legion fall program couldn’t materialize, but to execute one would have required a lot of time and dedication of staff and players.  That wouldn’t be fair with high school football and soccer about to kick into full gear.  There was too much of an intense schedule and long traveling expected from the league to make it feasible for everyone.  As mentioned, we will be stepping up the winter program and working with coach Ray Ricker (http://www.posteagles.com/coaches.aspx?rc=117) at Courtside Sports Center.  Ray has already mentioned bringing his players in to assist as well.  We want it to be fun, but effective.  We’re not going to police you but we’re going to expect that you come for baseball, not basketball, and make the most out of your time.

This year was a solid year for the program.  We got kids to return to the program, we got new blood into the program, and we had our veteran players to guide them along.  We’re looking for a couple of team leaders to step into the role and bring the teammates up a notch and really make 2012 the season that we break out in both teams.  Like we mentioned at the banquet, next year is the year we push for competitive standings and kick it up a notch across the board starting in winter.

If anyone, player or parent, has input or ideas please feel free to contact Bill or I.  We want to hear it.  If you know of anyone who is even passively interested in the program, also please direct them to Bill or I.  We want to know about them, too.

I intend to up my fundraising efforts once more for 2012 and would appreciate any assistance or advice you guys might have.  From events to restaurant nights, to carwashes, to selling catalogue goods and/or merchandise; every bit helps and the more we can earn the more resources we can provide to the players.  Players and parents are welcome to drop me a line about anything they think might work out for us.

Lastly, a thanks to Ty Morin and Ty Morin Photography (www.tymorinphotography.com) for taking some great shots of both teams in action.  They are for sale so contact Ty if you missed him at the banquet.  Ty is an Alumni of the program who recently graduated college and started a photography business.  Visit his site, he does great work.  We look forward to using him again this winter and summer.

We hope you all keep in touch during the off season and we’ll see you at the LSM fall sports games, I’m sure.  Those of you off to your first year of college, enjoy the next four or more years.
